Each year, Imbibe magazine looks at the people and places that are going to change the way we drink in the coming year. I tend to handle the majority of the beer write-ups, plus several other write-ups as well. This year, I profiled a number of exemplary folks that are steering the industry in better directions. Most profiles are print-only, but several are available online. I profiled Brienne Allan, who sparked an industry-wide reckoning on harassment and abuse, as well as how Talea Beer is working to make taprooms more welcoming. And I take a look at how Beerburg Brewing in Texas is using native herbs to create an apothecary.
