Josh on the Radio

Today at 5 p.m., I’m going to be appearing on Beer Sessions Radio to discuss rye beers, gose, black IPAs and other burgeoning beer styles that you’ll want to get in your belly. Either tune in at 5 p.m. (you can call in to make me feel awkward on air!), or you can download the podcast later.

  1. I’ll tune in. Perhaps you can help me with the following: Need some Cinco de Mayo beer suggestions. Is there anything besides the prerequisite Corona that will get folks in the Mexican kinda mood? How can I impress my friends and make the party less college slop fest and more grown-up and civilized? Thanks for the recommendations.

    • Hey, Liz. Instead of Corona, look to one of the new, burgeoning Mexican craft breweries, such as Cucapá. You can find them at most better beer stores in NYC, including Whole Foods and New Beer Distributors. Also, try a terrifically smoky mezcal, like the ones sold by Pierde Almas. Pricey but worth the splurge. You can find them at Astor Wines.
