My Current Top 5 Beers
1) Logsdon Farmhouse Ales Seizoen Bretta: Specializing in organic ales, this Oregon brewery is quietly making some of the country's best saisons. This Brett-spiked beauty is funky in all the right ways.
2) Green Flash Rayon Vert: Dosed with Brettanomyces, this is like drinking Orval by way of San Diego. It's hoppy and bone-dry, with a delightful effervescence. Rayon Vert will turn on as many people as it turns off.
3) Deschutes Abyss: Oh, happy days! The latest Abyss was just released, and it's a dark and delicious doozy. Partly aged in bourbon barrels and wine barrels, with the addition of vanilla and cherry bark, this is a beer fit for sipping by the snifter beside a fire.
4) Sierra Nevada Celebration: With plenty of hops, this robust brew is a beer born of the fall harvest, fit for sipping through the winter.
5) Hopworks Organic Abominable Winter Ale: Hailing from Portland, Oregon, the bike-friendly organic brewery's winter seasonal has a nice core of malt sweetness, but also plenty of Pacific Northwest hops too. It's a Christmas beer for hop heads that hate Christmas beer.
